Build your first monthly plan

  1. Open the Debt Inventory Worksheet. Copy balances, APRs and minimums from current statements.
  2. Open the Monthly Bill Calendar. Place each due date next to the paycheck that will cover it.
  3. Use the Bare-Bones Budget Worksheet to find money available after essential bills and required payments.

Example: a card with a $2,000 balance, 24% APR and $60 minimum belongs in the inventory; its due date belongs in the calendar. Do not add an extra payment until your budget shows how it will be funded. Keep completed forms private.
